Jonah Johnston: An all honors 8th grade student who has been part of the high school marching band since July 2013. He plays an upright tenor in the drum line. Jonah's determination and perseverance abled him to endure the long practices, camps, half-time shows, and competitions right alongside his average size peers. Jonah is extremely passionate about the drum line and his high school goal is to be drum major for his high school marching band.

Understanding Dwarfism is a program dedicated to changing the world’s perception of a group of people who throughout history have been miss understood and stigmatized because of their profound short stature.
Our hopes are that through education, understanding and awareness people will begin to see persons with dwarfism for their positive contributions to society - equally capable and deserving of a life free of stereotypes and equal to that of any other.
