My Thing want

MY THING...this is what I do!

Over the years we have been posting great things that people with dwarfism do on the Understanding Dwarfism Facebook page. It is amazing to see and hear some of the great things that people are involved in… everything from sports to music and everything in between. The website has a section called “My Thing”. This section showcases the many awesome things people do within the dwarfism community. If you are interested in being a part of this section we will need a paragraph or two about what you do and about 4 to 6 photos.

Educating the world one person at a time

Understanding Dwarfism is a program dedicated to changing the world’s perception of a group of people who throughout history have been miss understood and stigmatized because of their profound short stature.

Our hopes are that through education, understanding and awareness people will begin to see persons with dwarfism for their positive contributions to society - equally capable and deserving of a life free of stereotypes and equal to that of any other.

Get a unique perspective of how people with dwarfism see the world and what they want you to know. Understand their challenges, their contributions, and find out how much you really have in common with someone you might think is much different than you.
